Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink die! The fibres are very soft but very short, and therefore it is often spun together with other fibres, so that you can knit with it without the yarn breaking. It can be knitted with a single strand and become a lovely shawl, or with two strands and become a lovely sweater. There is not much mink yarn on the market, so here you get a truly unique product, which on top of that is also hand-dyed - win win......
