Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair, not wool. The shorter the hairs are, the itchier it is - just like if we had a buzz cut. Economically, producers get more out of shearing the goats often, and thereby get more yarn than if they let them grow long hair. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie down along our skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers, which is why it is category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would recommend trying this one, as it is truly different. This luxury mohair only runs 175m per 25g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. That is why e.g. PetiteKnit's "Kumulus blouse" works nicely with just one strand of this mohair.
