Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink die! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers so you can knit with it without the yarn breaking. It can be knitted with a single strand into a lovely shawl or held double to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
