Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair and not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs are the more it will itch — similar to if we were crew cut. Economically, producers get more from shearing the goats frequently and thus obtain more yarn, compared with letting them grow long hair. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie along the skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and for that reason it has a category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would still recommend trying this one, as it really is different. This luxury mohair only runs 350m per 50g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example, PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine in just a single strand of this mohair.
