Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers to prevent the yarn from breaking when you knit with it. It can be knit with a single strand into a lovely shawl or held double to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here that is also hand-dyed - win win......
