Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink dies! The fibers are very soft but very short, which is why they are often spun together with other fibers so the yarn doesn't break when knitting. It can be knitted with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
