Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped so no mink are harmed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so the yarn is often spun together with other fibers to make it strong enough to knit without breaking. It can be knit with a single strand into a lovely shawl or held double for a cozy sweater. There is not much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
