Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink die! The fibers are very soft but very short, and therefore they are often spun together with other fibers so the yarn doesn't break when knitting. It can be knit with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which on top of that is also hand-dyed - win-win......
