This base is virtually identical to our best-selling base — the regular dark yak we’ve offered for years. This one is just a bit thicker. After cashmere, this yak base is the softest we have and it’s perfect for people with wool allergies, since it contains no sheep’s wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often what causes reactions. This version is somewhat lighter and doesn’t drape as heavily as the other base. It’s perfect for sweaters, easy to knit with, and gives a lovely even result.
