This base is identical to our best-selling base — the regular dark yak we have offered for years. This one is just a bit thicker. After cashmere, this yak base is the softest we have and it is perfect for people with wool allergies, since it does not contain sheep wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often what causes reactions. This version is somewhat lighter and does not drape as heavily as the other base. It is perfect for sweaters, is very pleasant to knit with, and gives a lovely even result.
