Winding and knitting: We recommend winding the silk by hand, as it is very "lively" and can easily tangle. We also recommend alternating between the skeins while knitting to avoid pooling and to achieve a more even appearance in your knitting, since silk takes dye very differently.

Our silk is 100% Mulberry Silk and among the best on the market. It is knitted on needles 3 - 4. Wooden needles are recommended as silk can be slippery to work with. The silk is rated A on the AKW scale, which means it is suitable for allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin. This is a product we primarily carry in spring and summer, so it’s important to buy enough for your project. It is perfect for summer sweaters, summer tops and shawls.
