This combination of fibers gives a very nice, soft and drapey yarn. It works extremely well for shawls and if you knit sweaters, which you can easily do, be aware that it may add 2 - 3 cm in length after a little use. Although it is a really soft yarn, if you are allergic, you should knit a sample patch and wear it to test whether you can tolerate it. Alpaca fibers can be tricky for some, even though they are soft.
