Mink yarn comes from mink that are clipped gently, so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers so you can knit with it without the yarn breaking. It can be knit with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There is not much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which on top of that is also hand-dyed - win-win......
